Sony brings the award-winning classic Gandhi on 4K Steelbook

Sir Ben Kingsley has been entertaining audiences for years including his fan favorite character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In 1982 he took on the iconic role of Gandhi in Richard Attenborough’s feature film of the same name. The multi-Oscar winning film co-stars Candice Bergen, Edward Fox, John Gielgud, Trevor Howard, John Mills, and Martin Sheen. Now the film is making its debut HD with the new 4K Steelbook edition.
Gandhi follows Mohandas Gandhi, the beloved Indian leader who stood against British rule over his country. Dedicated to the concept of nonviolent resistance, Gandhi is initially dismissed by English officials, including the influential Lord Irwin, but eventually he and his cause become internationally renowned, and his gatherings of passive protest move India towards independence.
In addition to the film, this release offers bonus content including commentary, photo montage, featurettes and more. Grab your copy of Gandhi when it hits 4K Steelbook for the first time ever on April 29th from Sony Home Entertainment.
