Peppa Pig Theme Park comes to Texas

In 2004 creators Neville Astley and Mark Baker the British pre-school themed animated series Peppa Pig to the world. Since then, the series has become a worldwide hit with eight seasons, films and merchandise. In 2011 they opened the first theme park Peppa Pig World in England and has since opened numerous other iterations in Italy, and varying cities in the United States with their smaller theme Peppa Pig World of Play.

In 2022 they brought the theme park to the US with the Peppa Pig Theme Park in Florida and now they are ready to open up yet another here in North Richland Hills, Texas. These are full theme parks complete with rides including rides, play areas,

interactive shows and family-friendly dining. Designed specifically for children through age six, Peppa Pig Theme Park Dallas-Fort Worth will be the ultimate theme park experience for little ones.

The theme and age bracket may make you think it’s not something for everyone to enjoy, but you would be wrong. We had the joy of getting to attend the park for the exclusive media day and dive headfirst into the world of Peppa Pig and all the fun the park has to offer. I attended this event with both my wife and 4-year-old granddaughter in tow and to be honest prepared to be bored while the little one did her thing. What happened instead was that we all had a great time even though it is clearly meant for the younger audience.

This entire park is fully themed and filled with bright vibrant colors, characters and fun at every step. It’s just big enough to have tons of fun things to get into without it feeling overwhelming or needing days to get through it. Think of a smaller Disney style experience, but on a much smaller level. Despite being fully designed for the smaller kids they have designed rides that are entertaining to everyone, and most parents can get in on the fun. (There was one ride I had to get off because I was too big to fully close the latch, but the wife was able to fit fine.)

Each ride is fully themed to various characters and like walking into miniature little worlds from the show. The centerpiece of them all is the Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster where the line goes into the ride takes you through their house before stepping onto the fun and fast coaster. It might be for a younger fan base, but it still packs enough speed and bumps to entertain everyone. My favorite silly ride is that of Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure that is just a simple chance to ride a dino as it gallops through the dinosaur lands. It’s simple and silly but just found it the right amount of silliness to enjoy.

All of the rides deliver, but that isn’t all it has to offer. There is a water park section for some splashing fun, buried treasure digging sites, playgrounds, a tricycle track for racing fun and so much more. In the center of the park is the stage where the characters come to life for a live stage show as well as a theater where you can lay back and enjoy some A/C and Peppa Pig episodes.

The parks wrap up with a café and gift shop offering up all the Peppa Pig swag and fun you could want.

It’s awesome to see a park like this themed to a younger audience but made sure to keep it fun for all ages as well. If you are looking for a fun time for yourself and your little ones then head over to North Richland Hills and step into the world of Peppa the Pig along with her friends and family when the Peppa Pig Theme Park opens on March 1st.
